What you need to give us
So there’s no surprise mid-build: here’s what we’ll ask you for, tier by tier.

What we won’t promise you about the Map Pack
We won’t promise you’ll show up in Google’s Map Pack for towns you’re not physically based in or near. Proximity to the searcher and your business’s real address are the two biggest map-pack ranking factors, and on-page SEO work only moves that needle a little. What ongoing SEO does win: real organic search rankings in nearby towns, which is where most of your outside-your-town business actually comes from.
Turnaround depends on how quickly you get us your photos, content, and account access. The clock starts when we have what we need.

Where these numbers come from. DIY = Wix Core plus business email, one booking app and domain renewal. Connecticut agency = build and maintenance prices published by CT firms on their own sites, plus a local SEO retainer at survey rates. National companies publish no pricing at all — we checked every one of their pricing pages. Web design shops physically based in Waterbury itself — Designs 4 the Web, DCI Resources — don’t publish pricing either, so the same rule applies: no dollar figure appears next to them. Prices checked August 2026 from each company’s public pricing page. If any of this is out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it.
We are not the cheapest way to get a website. We’re the cheapest way to get one that’s finished.
Wix is cheaper than we are. We’ll say that out loud, because it’s true — if you have forty spare hours and you enjoy it, build it yourself and keep your money. What we’re cheaper than is every agency in Connecticut that does what we do, by a factor of three to seven over three years. That’s not a slogan. The math is in the table above and you can check every number.

Why we cost less
Low overhead is the reason. Here’s the part nobody else tells you.
Two brothers, no office, no account managers, no sales floor. That’s genuinely why the number is lower. It also raises a fair question, so we’ll answer it before you have to ask.
You own everything. Always.
Every account, every login, every file, the domain and the code stay yours from day one. Nothing is held as leverage. If you leave, you keep all of it and you don’t pay us a cent to hand it over.
If we vanish, you’re fine.
It’s hand-written standard code on hosting in your name. Any developer anywhere can pick it up tomorrow. Nothing is trapped inside a platform only we can log into. That’s the honest answer to “what if you get busy or quit.”
We’ll tell you not to buy.
If Starter does everything you need, we’ll say so and take the smaller job. We’ve told people to fix their Google listing themselves and call us next year. That costs us money and we do it anyway.
What the monthly covers.
Text changes, photo swaps, hours, pricing, small tweaks — as many as you need, within reason. New pages are $150. Anything bigger gets quoted before a minute of work happens, so nothing is ever a surprise on a bill.
No contract, no notice games.
The care plan is month to month. Cancel with 30 days and we hand you the keys. There is no twelve-month verbal agreement made on a phone call, which is how most of the national companies do it.
What we won’t promise.
We won’t promise you the Google map pack in towns you’re not near — that’s driven by where you physically are, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something they can’t deliver.
Questions worth asking
Why not just use Wix / Squarespace / a $20 template?
Those tools cap out fast. A hand-coded site loads faster (no bloated builder plugins slowing every page down), doesn’t lock you into a rising monthly platform fee just to keep your own site online, and doesn’t hit a wall the day you want something custom that a drag-and-drop editor can’t do. And when something breaks or needs a change, you’re calling a person who built it, not a support queue.
Why do I need a monthly plan? I already paid for the build.
Because part of what you’re paying for isn’t a one-time thing: hosting, the AI phone line, and SEO all run on live subscriptions that have to keep running and get managed, not just installed once and forgotten. The build fee pays for building it; the monthly fee pays for keeping it working and, on Growth and Local Dominator, actively doing things for you every month.
Why should I go with a two-person studio instead of a bigger agency?
Bigger agencies mean more overhead: account managers, layers between you and the person doing the work, and slower turnaround because you’re one of hundreds of accounts. With us, you’re talking directly to the person building your site, and there’s no ticket queue to get through. And if you’re wondering what happens if we’re busy or we’re gone — your site is hand-written standard code on hosting in your own name, so any developer can pick it up. Nothing is locked inside a platform only we can log into.
What happens if I want to cancel or leave later?
Every account, every login, and every piece of content remains your property from day one. Your domain is registered in your name. Nothing is held as leverage — if you leave, you keep everything, no handoff fee, no fight. Just give us 30 days’ notice on the care plan.
I don’t have professional photos or marketing copy, can you still do this?
Yes. Most clients start with phone photos and a rough idea of what they do. We’ll tell you exactly what we need and work with what you’ve got; professional photography isn’t required to get a site live.
